At Dreams of Seams, quilting is more than a craft — it's a language. Every fabric chosen, every stitch placed, every pattern pieced together tells a story. Located in the heart of Eden, NC, we are a full-service quilt gallery and store where precision, creativity, and quality guide everything we do.

Our Story

Dreams of Seams was born from a deep and abiding love for the art of quilting — and from the courage to pursue it anyway.

Owner Sabrina Miller is a retired military spouse who knows what it means to build a life in new places, adapt to new communities, and find beauty in the in-between. A former certified domestic violence advocate, she carried for years a deep belief that healing and belonging matter deeply — and that belief still shapes everything about this shop.

Sabrina came to quilting not through the traditional path, but through curiosity and determination. With a background in computer science, she was used to thinking in systems, logic, and structure. Quilting, with its geometry and rhythm, felt surprisingly familiar — and yet it opened something entirely new in her.

She'll be the first to admit she didn't always feel like she fit the mold. The quilting community has a rich and cherished culture, and Sabrina has come to deeply respect that. But she also knows what it feels like to stand at the edge of a room and wonder if there's a place for you. That experience never left her — and it shaped the kind of space she set out to create.

Dreams of Seams is built on the belief that quilting belongs to everyone. That the traditions we inherit are worth honoring, and that there's always room to welcome someone new to the table. Her years as a military spouse gave her resilience and adaptability. Her background in advocacy gave her a profound appreciation for safe, supportive spaces. And her love of quilting gave her a home.

This shop is the place she wished had existed for her — and she hopes it feels that way for you, too.
